Petrol bombs hurled at Chennai post offices

Petrol bombs were hurled at post offices at Mandaveli and Mylapore by unidentified persons on Tuesday morning. While some machinery at Mandaveli was damaged, no one was injured in the attacks.

The incident took place at around 7 a.m at the post offices on R.K. Mutt Road and Kutchery Road. One suspect who attacked the Mylapore police has been detained. He is suspected to be a member of a political outfit.

Police have also detained three people: Marimuthu, Ravanan and Manoharan. They are members of the Dravidar Viduthalai Kazhagam.
